The bears are similar to the typical Haribo gold bears, but are infused with various berry flavors.

Blueberry, wild cherry, strawberry, raspberry and wild berry are all part of the flavor combination.

“HARIBO fans tell us they love our texture and flavor combinations, and Wild Berry Goldbears is a nod to that for a perfect summer treat,” said Rick LaBerge, Chief Commercial Officer of Haribo of America.

“HARIBO has been the world’s number one rubber brand for over a century because we stay true to our heritage while driving innovation, and it’s all inspired by our consumers,” he continued.

“I tried them, they’re really good and a nice new flavor for Haribo bears,” said another.

A potential customer was excited but also made a suggestion.

“These look good, imagine sour,” they said alongside a drooling emoji.

Haribo also announced that it has opened its first-ever manufacturing facility in the United States.

The factory is located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

According to the Germany-based company, the decision to move some of its production to the United States was due to increasing demand here.

“The brand-new, state-of-the-art facility was created to meet growing American consumer demand for the popular gummy brand, which produces over 25 varieties of gummy treats for the United States and more than 1,200 varieties worldwide,” the statement reads.

The 500,000-square-foot factory focuses on the production of the company’s famous Goldbear brand of gummy bears.

“At HARIBO we think in terms of generations. We remain in the United States long-term and are honored to be part of the Pleasant Prairie community,” said Wes Saber, Chief Financial Officer of HARIBO of America.

“We are committed to creating learning and career opportunities that drive economic development and well-being in southeastern Wisconsin,” he continued.

Haribo currently has 16 production sites in 11 different countries.

The company was founded in Germany in 1920.

Global headquarters are in Grafschaft, Germany, while the US operating base is in Rosemont, Illinois.
