Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer component of the game launches today in a surprise release from developer 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios. The developer announced Monday that the game’s competitive multiplayer set is now playable for free on Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Halo InfiniteThe initial multiplayer release is being described as a “multiplayer beta,” offering a preview of the content of the first part of the game. The developer indicates that the progress made in the beta of Halo Infinite will move to full release next month.
The official release of Halo Infinite, which will include the game’s single-player campaign, is scheduled for December 8.
The surprise release of Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer portion coincides with the franchise’s 20th birthday. Original Halo: Combat Evolved came to Xbox on November 15, 2001, when that console was released. Accordingly, Microsoft held an Xbox celebration live stream on YouTube on Monday, which confirmed Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer release has been announced. But the word of Halo InfiniteIts early release was leaked before it was revealed, thanks to the website source code indicating that November 15 is out for multiplayer.
Halo InfiniteHowever, the official release in December will not include the full content of the game. 343 The industries still have Blacksmithing mode and cooperative campaign to deliver, this won’t happen until 2022. The developer plans to add content for Halo Infinite.
Halo fans have shown great patience for Master Chief’s next adventure, which was originally slated to launch last year alongside Xbox Series X. But Microsoft and 343 delayed the game last summer until 2021 to give Halo Infinite more development time.
