ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Sick. — For many years, Arlington Worldwide Racecourse was the crown jewel of racing in Illinois. However its proprietor Churchill Downs Inc. didn’t apply for future racing dates and introduced final month it had reached a deal to promote the 326-acre property to the Chicago Bears.
If accredited, it’s going to depart the Chicago space with one remaining monitor: Hawthorne Racecourse in Stickney.
