Halle Berry and Netflix are cooperating!

After the success of her new movie, Bruises (in which she stars and directs), the streaming platform and the 55-year-old entertainer will work together on more titles in the future.

Based on Deadline, Halle will partner with Netflix to produce and star in many films for the platform.

Bruises not only reached #1 in the United States this week, but also took #2 for English-language films worldwide. It is currently in 4th place.

“My directorial debut, Bruises, is a labor of love and I know that Scott [Stuber] and Ted [Sarandos] will treat it carefully,” Halle shared in a statement that coincides with the announcement. “The Netflix team is not only collaborative and creative, but incredibly passionate and a pleasure to work with. I am extremely grateful for the partnership and look forward to telling more stories together. ”

Scott added, “There are very few people who have had a career like Halle Berry. She’s an award-winning actress, producer, and as we’ve seen this past week, she’s an incredible director. We are delighted to be in her corner as she powers in front and behind the camera in Bruised and look forward to telling more stories together. ”
