ERLING HAALAND’s father has hinted he may not be destined for a long stay at Manchester City.
Alfie Haaland, who also played for City, will worry Etihad fans as his goalscoring son tears up the Premier League.
Erling has scored 11 goals in his first seven Prem games for the champions and is already an Etihad hero.
He signed for £51.4million this summer after the 22-year-old also proved fatal in his early days at RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.
He averaged around a goal per game for both clubs and has similarly continued his career in England.
But now dad Alfie has given City fans food for thought as he says his son may still have a desire to play in other big leagues.
Haaland has signed a five-year contract with City, which allegedly contains break clauses.
Alfie told the Times: “He could spend 2 1/2 years in Germany, 2 1/2 years in England and then Spain, Italy, France, right?”
“We don’t know if it will be like that but I think he would like to test his skills in the big leagues.”
Haaland is thought to be making around £400,000 a week and few clubs could match those wages.
But the Norwegian killer denied he moved to City just for the money.
He added: “When I was a little boy, like everyone, I dreamed of becoming the best footballer in the world and making a living from it.
“Now I do. I think money is important for everyone in this world. Earning the most money is not the priority, but you want to earn as much as possible.
