Gruesome new details of parents and daughter, 6, massacred in their tent as horrific injuries revealed

HORRIBLE new details have emerged of the massacre of the family who were killed in their camping tent.

The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner has completed autopsies on the three victims and revealed more about their horrific injuries.

Tyler and Sarah Schmidt, both 42, along with their daughter Lula, were found dead in their tent at Maquoketa Caves State Park Campground in Iowa after being killed by Anthony Sherwin, police officers say.

As it turned out, Tyler died from a gunshot wound and injuries from sharp trauma.

His wife Sarah had multiple sharp injuries that resulted in her death.

Their daughter, Lula, died from a gunshot wound and strangulation.

All three deaths were classified as homicides, according to coroners.

Sherwin’s death was ruled a suicide after it was discovered that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials said they would continue the investigation.

The Schmidt family went camping on the night of July 21st.

Police were called to the scene on July 22, where upon arrival they discovered the three bodies killed, as well as Sherwin’s.

Arlo Schmidt was the sole survivor of the shooting, but it’s unclear where he was during the attack.

The boy claimed a gunman in black shot dead his parents and six-year-old sister Lulu.

Sarah’s brother Adam Morehouse told The US Sun the family has no connection to Sherwin.

“It was absolutely coincidental.

“No one in our families had ever met the person or the person’s families.

“As far as we know, there had been no interactions and it was just one individual who decided that morning to pick a tent and go inside and let this devastating tragedy happen that is affecting multiple, multiple people and families across the Midwest.” , and unfortunately the tent belonged to my sister and her lovely family.”
