Groundhog Day 2023 LIVE updates – Punxsutawney Phil aims to predict the arrival of spring – when and how to watch

Groundhog Day is approaching and tradition is said to predict how long winter will last.

The tradition revolves around a somewhat mythical groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil, who will determine this year’s weather forecast.

Groundhog Day takes place on February 2nd at approximately 6:30 am in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

If Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow after emerging due to the clear weather, the winter will last six weeks.

However, if he doesn’t see his shadow due to cloudiness, spring will come earlier this year.
