Golden State residents can get $17,000 in guaranteed income pilot program

A NEW Guaranteed Income Pilot will be accepting applications soon for everyone to get over a year of free money.
This program will target a specific group of adults in California.
West Hollywood will soon begin testing the program.
Applications will be accepted starting Friday, February 25.
Only 25 people selected at random from the application process will be eligible for $1,000 a month for 17 months – that’s $17,000 in free money with no strings attached.
Who is eligible?
Participants must live in West Hollywood and be 50 years of age or older.
It is open to all residents regardless of citizenship status.
You must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gay, transgender or asexual (LGBTQIA).
Your annual household income must be at or below very low income (50% of area median income) for the Los Angeles, Long Beach and Glendale metro areas as determined by the Department of Housing and Development. American Urban Development:

The West Hollywood Pilots of Guaranteed Income (WHPGI) was a sponsor of this original program.
It wants to ensure that this money will provide older adults who identify as LGBTQIA also with stable housing and an improved quality of life.
The organization found that 43% of West Hollywood’s 36,723 residents identify as LGBT.
Meanwhile, 44 percent of residents living in poverty are adults 55 or older.
When will the payments be shipped
The application period opened on February 25 and will end on Sunday, March 6.
All selected participants will be notified between March 14 and March 31.
During this time, you will have the opportunity to register and receive direct training in the program.
The first monthly cash payment will be distributed on April 15, 2022.
You will receive a debit card that will link to your bank account to receive your monthly deposit.
You do not need an existing bank account to receive your funds.
