GMA’s Robin Roberts travels to an exotic location after a 24-hour detour in Hawaii and fans are worried about the same thing

GOOD Morning America fans are all concerned about the same thing after co-host Robin Roberts took a day trip to Hawaii during her trip.

The GMA star first noticed her flight mishaps on Friday when she posted an Instagram story with partner Amber Laign.

Robin smiled with her arms raised as she provided fans with details on some of the travel issues.

The couple had been diverted to Hawaii en route to New Zealand to report severe flooding in the country.

“I’m trying to make the best of rerouting the flight to Honolulu until the Auckland flooding subsides,” she wrote.

Recently, on Saturday, Robin published a lengthy post on Instagram, further explaining the situation and telling fans that she and her partner are finally on their way to New Zealand.

“The adventure continues… after 24 hours of diversion, continue to New Zealand,” the broadcaster wrote in the caption of the post.

“Huge gratitude to the @airnz staff for how they handled a challenging situation and to the people of Honolulu for their kindness. Mahalo💛.”

Despite the positive news from Robin that she and her partner are now out and about, fans were all worried about the same thing – safety during the storm.

“🙏🏼 New Zealand is experiencing terrible flooding and extreme rain!!” one person noticed.

“Does GMA still intend to broadcast from there this coming week?” they asked.

“Wow, hold on!! You have this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for you and your team 🌷,” said another.

Several others urged Robin to have a safe journey as she headed to Auckland.

“Stay safe… YOU are awesome! ❤️,” explained one user.

“Have a safe trip to New Zealand. I can’t wait to see your photos!” repeated another user.

GMA’s traffic correspondent Gio Benitez and his partner Tommy DiDario also expressed well wishes.

The concerns of Robin’s fans and fellow journalists are well-founded given the current status of the Auckland flooding.

Heavy rain that led to the flooding has reportedly caused several deaths and one person missing, according to The Weather Channel.

Not to mention, Robin disappeared from the show for the trip earlier this week after stinging Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about their highly publicized relationship.

Though she didn’t directly address the situation on the show, her comments on her morning news often came in the form of cryptic clues.

On Friday, the GMA team celebrated Jimmy Kimmel’s 20th anniversary as a late-night talk show host, but Robin was nowhere to be seen.

The official GMA Twitter account shared a clip of the fake feud between Matt Damon and Jimmy, which host Lara Spencer spoke about.

However, Robin was nowhere to be seen and strangely the hosts didn’t mention or explain it.
