GMA’s Robin Roberts reveals her whereabouts in new posts after being absent from the morning show

GOOD Morning America host Robin Roberts has revealed the reason for her absence from the screen.

On Friday, The Sun reported how Robin, 62, was missing from her desk and was replaced by a familiar face.

The fan-favorite presenter has been replaced with a familiar face, Eva Pilgrim.

It was the fourth straight Friday that Robin was absent from the GMA without any explanation.

But the show host has now revealed her whereabouts on her Instagram page, revealing that she had gone to her “special place”.

Robin posted a picture of the sunset in Key West, Florida, along with the tagline “TGIF”.

She then posted a snap showing her outside with her team.

The broadcaster added the caption: “Great way to say thank you to my fabulous team RR.

“We treat her and her significant other in our happy place.

“Sweet Amber took the picture.”

Robin was referring to partner Amber Laign, who had also joined the trip.

Both Robin and her 17-year-old partner, Amber, are cancer survivors.

Meanwhile, later that night, Robin captured the group, who were traveling on two separate tikis, before cruising through the water.

Robin then rounded out her collection of images with a sunset and the exuberant caption, “Oh what a night.”

She previously revealed that the reason for yet another show absence was an “inspirational” trip.

SUNSHINE CALM

Last month Robin was on the road again.

She revealed her whereabouts after a “particularly challenging week”.

In a calm photo, she posted a backdrop of her escape to Palm Springs, California.

A quaint resort with an umbrella and chair can be seen near palm trees and a towering mountain range.

She captioned the photo, “Saturday Serenity.”

One fan commented, “Welcome to my beautiful city Robin!”

Another said: “Yes it’s a beautiful weekend here in the desert, enjoy your stay and the beautiful view.

“So excited to know you’re so close!”
