Finishing his time in the snowy region, Michael threw himself in the snow to make snow angels before sending them back to the New York City studio.
“I’m going to take you on our journey through the tundra,” Michael said on the live segment.
“You will meet all the polar bears that we have met and you will learn how we can still save the bear, which in turn really saves us.”
He explained that his trip north is “all part of ABC News’ ongoing coverage of the climate crisis.”

“I’m looking forward to sharing this with you guys tomorrow, but until then, check this out! You guys can’t do that, can you?”
Michael then threw himself in the snow and started making snow angels.
“Back to you in the studio!” He yelled from the floor.
GMA’s official Instagram account shared the video on Instagram and said: “When reporting from a winter wonderland, snow angels are a must! Right @michaelstrahan?”

Michael’s fun time on set comes as some fans and GMA viewers worried about his safety while covering polar bears.
“You are living my dream. Polar bears fascinate me. I can’t wait to see your story. Take care,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Frightening that he will do anything just for the money shot,” wrote another.

The concern arose after official twitter account shared for the ABC breakfast show a 15 second teaser trailer for the Wednesday morning segment.
Michael, a former professional soccer player, has been with GMA full-time since 2016.
