Strahan represented FOX NFL and interviewed Rihanna about her performance at the Super Bowl.
Sharing some photos on his Instagram, he wrote, “Sat down with Rihanna before her Super Bowl LVII halftime performance! NFL coming up on Fox.”
A three minute clip was divided on the Fox Sports Twitter account, with Strahan presenting the interview to an enthusiastic audience.
“When you agreed and said yes to the Super Bowl Halftime Show, what went through your mind?” Strahan asked Rihanna.

“Did I say yes? Am I really doing this? Or is this one of the craziest decisions I’ve ever made,” Rihanna said.
Rihanna provided some background on how novel her one-of-a-kind was, sharing that she hadn’t toured in seven years.
“Going from there to the Super Bowl was one of those things that I knew was going to be challenging, and that’s what appealed to me,” she said.
The two joked about how excited Rihanna’s fans were, claiming they viewed the Super Bowl as their performance surrounded by a football game.

For the past week, Strahan has been absent from his daily duties at the Good Morning America news desk.

Despite his commitments to Fox, he appeared on GMA via video chat and phone calls, and checked in with his co-hosts.

During one of his performances, his co-host Robin Roberts jokingly asked him if he was resting.
“Not much. Not much. But I’m here and I’m awake and I’m ready to go. Good morning America,” Straham said, laughing.
