GMA’s Lara Spencer offers words of encouragement to Robin Roberts, insisting ‘challenging situation’ is ‘a sign’
GOOD Morning America’s Lara Spencer says co-host Robin Roberts’ travel mishaps are a “sign” that good things are to come.
Robin’s plane was diverted to Hawaii after severe flooding delayed her scheduled trip to New Zealand.

Robin made the best of it and posted a sunset photo from Waikiki’s palm-fringed beach.
She said on Instagram: “I’m trying to make the best of rerouting the flight to Honolulu until the Auckland flooding subsides. I hope all are doing well.”
Heavy rainstorms have hit Auckland Airport, killing at least four people.
A day later, she spoke about the “challenging situation” in an update on her travel plans.
Robin, 62, added: “The adventure continues… after 24 hours of diversion it’s on to New Zealand.”
ABC co-star Lara replied, “I love that you’ve been diverted to the most beautiful place.
“A sign of a wonderful journey yet to come.
“Have fun jumping!!!!!!!!!

The last comment could be a hint that Robin is planning to go bungee jumping, a popular adrenaline sport in New Zealand’s southern mountain resorts.
Today, Robin revealed she had arrived as she shared more photos flying over a glacier and standing in the snow.
She has said she will be reporting from the country this week.
Her longtime partner Amber Laign reportedly joined her on the trip.
Robin said in an Instagram video on Thursday: “After several months of planning, the Glam Fam and I are going to New Zealand!
“We’re leaving today, we’ll get in touch from there next week.
“It will be a bit of a challenge for us to put out a daily message and prayer, but you know we are with you in spirit always.”
Robin was absent from the GMA studios on Friday, fueling rumors of a feud with co-stars Amy and TJ.
She has been throwing hidden jibes for weeks after their much-publicized “affair.”
Lara, 53, was on the show just after recovering from painful foot surgery.
She had posted a selfie at home with her leg in a surgical splint.
Last week, Lara paid a lavish tribute to her son on his 21st birthday.
