GMA’s Ginger Zee talks about tough decisions and shares intimate details about her personal life, revealing things she wouldn’t do

GOOD Morning America’s Ginger Zee once again opened up to fans and supporters via social media and revealed one important thing she won’t be doing to be there for her family.
The revelation came as the chief meteorologist was en route to Florida to cover Tropical Storm Nicole and opened a Q&A on her Instagram story.

“How are you?[r] Guys take care of your travel plan? Loved the Halloween costumes by the way,” asked one follower.
“Thank you. It sure gets harder as they get older,” Zee replied, before insisting that her family always comes before her work.
“However, I have let them know that they are my priority – if they have an event at school or something they want me to be at, there’s no way I’m going to miss it.”
Zee responded with a photo of her son Adrian at a recent school play.

“I enjoy every moment,” she said.
Zee, 41, is married to Ben Aaron, a New York-based media worker.
The two share two sons, Adrian and Miles.
Zee has served as GMA’s chief meteorologist since 2013.

She regularly shares about her personal and family life on social media, and even shares how she’s preparing to appear on TV while working locally.
Last week, Zee claimed on Instagram that she was in an area without electricity and had to do her makeup “in the dark.”
This didn’t turn out to be much of a problem, however, as her team had a spray bottle of water and a portable fan.
“Look at that magic!” Said Zee.
“Water and a fan. Hairdryer! Wow!”
The chief meteorologist has also taken to social media to open up about more difficult issues like mental health.
On October 11th – World Mental Health Day – Zee announced that she has been living with borderline personality disorder for 11 years.
“It’s also important to know that I have found healing and that you deserve it too,” she wrote at the time.
Zee also noted that she’s worked through depression, PTSD, and an eating disorder every day.

In her post, the meteorologist said she hopes it will help those facing similar struggles.
“I hope this post can help you accept yours. It’s the only way to heal. And you DESERVE to heal,” Zee added.
