GMA’s Ginger Zee shares a cryptic question, but viewers are caught up in what their peers are wearing

GMA’s Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee revealed she was definitely a morning person when she asked a cryptic question in her latest video from the production studio.

But viewers were more concerned with what was going on in the background of the Instagram clip — specifically what their peers were wearing.

The video, which has been viewed more than 18,000 times, began with the weather presenter wishing her followers a good morning.

It showed Ginger and her team, Samantha Wnek and Max Golembo, in the production suite preparing for the day ahead.

She then jokes with Samantha about her approach to the early mornings.

“Which side are you on?” Ginger asked.

“It’s only 7:59 or already 7:59?”

The chief meteorologist discusses that she and Samantha “have this thing,” with Ginger saying “already” and her colleague saying “just.”

Samantha adds that the “day is so long,” but Ginger adds, “Time flies when you’re having the best time ever!”

Ginger then pans to her colleague Max, who takes her side and cheers.

However, viewers were distracted by the fact that both Max and Samantha are wearing face masks in the video.

Ginger is maskless, but it’s clear she’s already been in the makeup chair preparing for the camera.

One asked, “Why are they wearing masks?” and another commented, “Really? They still wear masks there! lol.”

A viewer could not understand that the footage was shot in modern times.

They asked, “Did you record this at a time when people were wearing masks? Because nobody actually wears them anymore, do they?”

However, if nothing else dates the footage to the day it was released, Ginger’s bold hair transformation does.

The 41-year-old debuted her new bangs in December, which sent fans wild.

Months later, fans were still commenting on her new look, with many praising how youthful and relaxed it made her look.

One said: “Not that it matters at all but I love your new look. The bangs just make you look like you’re enjoying life.”

Others added, “Still can’t get over the new hair you look amazing” and “Love your bangs Ginger!!!”

The US Sun has reached out to ABC to discuss its mask policy in office.

New York City hasn’t mandated masks in offices for more than a year.
