She was replaced by a familiar face – Eva Pilgrim – at the desk.

This is the fourth consecutive Friday that Robin has been absent from the GMA without any explanation.
She was the rest of the week.
Eva was joined at the desk by Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos.
She covered record rainfall coming to Florida, The Wall Street Journal’s Evan Gerskovich, The GMA Buzz Pick and more.
They were joined later in the show by Lara Spencer.
Michael was absent for three weeks and returned on Tuesday.
Eva is the co-host of the GMA Weekend Edition and the backup presenter for the week when needed.
It’s not clear where Robin is or if she will be back on Monday.

Before Robin missed Friday, she and Sam Champion started a debate among viewers.
Robin and Sam shared a laugh on Tuesday morning’s GMA show while discussing National Grilled Cheese Day.
In recognition of the holiday, the co-hosts quizzed each other on the best methods of cooking the barbecue.
Sam said he believes the perfect concoction needs to involve several different types of cheese.
“I’ve come to believe that grilled cheese must be very different [kinds of cheese] to be amazing,” he argued.
Robin didn’t disagree with Sam and instead offered another hack for the weatherman.
She explained that adding mayonnaise to the bread before grilling supposedly makes the sandwich crunchier.
Sam was shocked by Robin’s thoughts as he “fly” over the background of the city while the cameraman started panning away.
The meteorologist laughed at the on-air mishap An entry on Twitter and let fans continue the debate on the best way to prepare a grilled cheese.
“#GrilledCheeseSandwichDay!! What are your secrets!!!!! Annnnd [sic] I CAN FLY!!” Sam wrote as he included a clip of his and Robin’s debate from the show.
Several fans discussed methods and many sided with both Robin and Sam.
“I agree with you [Sam]but I’ve never tried grilling it with mayonnaise…” one person noted.
“I use the mayo secret to make grilled cheese sandwiches,” said another.
A third added: “Yessss! Use mayo instead of butter to grill it…excellent!!

That same day, Robin revealed a secret known only between her and Michael.
Before GMA co-hosts Michael, Robin, Lara and George moved on to another segment of the morning show, Michael let Robin reveal their inside joke.
Shortly after the weather segment wrapped, Michael, 51, looked at Robin, 62, and asked her a specific question.
“Robin, what is it time for?” asked Michael.
Robin shot back, “Oh come on,” hoping Michael wouldn’t press for an answer, which he did.
Reluctantly, she began singing “Pop, pop, pop news.”
Robin’s singsong phrase referred to the GMA segment Pop News.
Lara chimed in to sing with her, empowering Robin to sing it more passionately.
Everyone laughed out loud at Robin’s introduction to the segment, including her.
She admitted the song was something she only shared with her co-hosts.
