GMA hunk Michael Strahan is sharing his favorite Christmas traditions with fans after his absence from the show has viewers worried

GOOD Morning America host Michael Strahan has taken to social media after several absences from the show to engage with fans about holiday traditions.
In a recent post on Instagram, the former NFL star and Hall of Famer inductee revealed his favorite vacation movie and movie character and scene.

The caption read: “Holidays are coming!! Tell me your favorite vacation movie, character and scene? Yes, Die Hard is a holiday movie! 😂😂😂 (watch to the end).”
For the former, Strahan named 2003’s Elf starring Will Ferrell as his favorite Christmas movie of all time.
“It would be, uh, Elf, with Will Ferrell,” he explained in the video.
However, Strahan’s favorite Christmas movie character has to be the Grinch.

The image included in the story was specifically Jim Carrey’s portrayal of the character from the 2000 film.
Last but not least, the answer for his favorite movie scene would come from a completely different project that fans have been discussing for some time as a “real” Christmas movie or not.
Strahan described the scene in 1988’s Die Hard where Bruce Willis delivers his famous “Yippie ki-yay” line as his favorite Christmas movie scene of all time.
He then asked his fans to provide their answers to the questions in the comments on his post.
This healthy interaction with fans was apparently appreciated and many commented with their three favorites.
Many were likely reassured by Strahan’s activities given his recent absence from GMA, which raised some concerns.
SEVERAL DISAPPEARANCES
As The US Sun previously reported, Strahan was away for a few shows throughout November.
He was notably replaced by then-fan favorite TJ Holmes for a November 12 airing.
However, it was reportedly not the first time Holmes had stepped in for Strahan in recent weeks.
Luckily, Strahan was quick to update fans on Instagram, announcing that he was hosting Fox NFL in Qatar on Sunday.
“FOX NFL SUNDAY is live from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar with a 2 hour show starting NOW in @NFLonFOX,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
The video in the post showed him and several soldiers at the base, where he was smiling and giving a thumbs up.
Fox later posted a video on his Instagram page of them practicing soccer together.
During the week of November 7th, Strahan was also absent from the GMA booth for some shows.
He had reportedly gone on an expedition to Canada to report on polar bears and the threat posed to their homeland by the climate crisis.
Fans were quick to get concerned, with one noting that it’s “terrifying that he’s doing anything just for the money shot.”
After that, two days later, he still hadn’t returned to GMA.
However, during a live broadcast, GMA shared a video with Strahan discussing his excitement at airing the segment.
“You’ll meet every polar bear that we’ve met and you’ll learn how we can still save the bear, which in turn really saves us,” Michael said.
“I’m looking forward to sharing this with you guys tomorrow, but until then, check this out! You guys can’t do that, can you?”
He proceeded to jump into the nearby snow and make snow angels.
Strahan was also recently notably absent from a Dec. 19 broadcast of GMA and a Dec. 12 broadcast after reportedly working late for Fox NFL the night before Sunday.
Fans took to Twitter at the time, and some asked, “Where are your anchors?”
Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos were also absent during the same broadcast.
“It’s like their projects come before the show. Your top 3 are constantly gone. Puts a damper on the show,” the fan continued.
It seems like Strahan’s absence, at least recently, is due to brief stints on other projects.
Hopefully this Christmas interaction will put some minds at ease.
