GMA fans have wished Sam Champion “good luck” in his new gig as Eyewitness News anchor.
Sam joined the Eyewitness News editorial board alongside Mike Marza, Shirleen Allicot and Dani Beckstrom.

It launched in the same slot originally reserved for Sam’s competitor Tamron Hall.
Instead, the Tamron Hall show will be moved to a new time, with Sam and Co. taking over the mornings.
Fans wished Sam much success in his new venture.
One tweeted to Sam and his fellow anchors: “Enjoy the new Eyewitness News Mornings at 10am! The new word of the day is ‘precipitable’!”
Another wrote: “Good luck with the new gig Sam!”

Meanwhile, Sam went shirtless and showed off his abs in a recent video.
The Good Morning America star is currently taking a break from the show as he vacations in Brazil with his husband Rubem Robierb.
On Sunday morning, Sam and Rubem, 46, stood in a huge pool.
“A beautiful jungle pool. Rubem set up the camera for me!” the meteorologist captioned it post.
Sam stood in the pool and stretched his arms out to the sides of the water.
He jumped back and waved, getting further and further away from the camera, showing how big the pool actually was.
The 62-year-old showed off his abs and toned arms in the water.
In the corner of the video, a picture of Rubem and Sam in the pool was shown.
The song Bim Bom by Joao Gilberto played over the video.
“How many push-ups did you do before the video?” “Sam has pecs!” one fan joked in the comments section.

BIRTHDAY TRIP
Sam and Rubem traveled to celebrate Sam’s 62nd birthday, which took place on August 13th.
At the moment they are in Bahia, Brazil, enjoying the sun and time off.
Sam also posted photos and videos on his Instagram story.
The first picture showed Sam and Rubem’s feet relaxing under a cabana on the beach.
Then Sam lay down on a hammock under a palm tree and looked out to sea.
Sam then enjoyed his morning coffee before heading to the pool.
Then, just hours after relaxing in the pool, the couple decided to have a few alcoholic drinks.
Rubem, who appeared to be naked, stood behind the bar mixing a few drinks while Sam took a photo of him.
Sam captioned the post: “I met the hottest bartender.”

Fans were shocked to learn that Sam turned 62 last week.
To celebrate his big day, he shared a youthful-looking post on his Instagram.
Bright green appeared behind the dining room table where the ABC anchor sat while being filmed.
Sam blew out the candle on his cupcake that sat in the middle of the table.
The TV personality was all smiles after taking part in the birthday tradition for the 62nd time.
Sam appeared relaxed, wearing a stylish long-sleeved top that revealed a small portion of his chest as it was unbuttoned.
His hair was styled, but not to the point where it looked artificial.
