She smiled broadly as she was excited to pilot the plane into dangerous situations.

The US daytime TV star captioned her photo: “Almost five hours ago I got out on the @flynoaa Hurricane Hunter P30 called Kermit – we flew into Hurricane #Lee with her excellent crew.”

“I have always respected their work, but MY GOD…their critical data from storms is not easy. And yes, they even let me fly Kermit.”

Another commented: “I’m so glad you got to experience this! From chasing tornadoes to flying into a hurricane, you touch nature at its wildest!!!!”

“Wow, how exciting for you. You look absolutely thrilled,” someone pointed out.

A fourth asked: “Okay, how scary was that?”

Ginger responded to the above comment along with a vomit emoji: “I was never scared… I was too bold with my ‘I’ll never get sea or motion sickness’ deal though and kept checking that the phone was working , and it got me.” ”

“You’re an absolute badass. This is just impressive,” said a sixth person.

On the September 8 episode of GMA, Ginger further discussed the hurricane and how people can prepare for it.
