Gleycy Correia, a 27-year-old from southeastern Brazil, died on June 20 after suffering “massive bleeding and cardiac arrest” during surgery.

Correia died in a private hospital after being in a coma for more than two months following surgery in April.

Henrique Fontes, a Brazilian native who ran Global Beauties, took to Instagram to offer his condolences.

“This picture comforted me,” Fontes wrote of a tragic post.

An illustrator created an image of Correia with Jesus after her tragic death at the age of 27.

“I feel like she’s in the arms of God now and better supported,” Fontes said.

After spending 77 days in a coma, Correia said sadly on Monday.

The beauty queen was crowned Miss United Continents Brazil and Miss Costa do Sol in 2018.

In a statement, Miss Brazil Official said, “Gleycy will always be remembered for her enlightened beauty, joy and empathy.”

Pastor Jak Abreu, who knows Gleycy’s family, wrote on social media that their loved ones believe there was a mistake in the operation.

Her body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute of Macae for an autopsy.

“God chose this day to pick up our princess,” Abreu said.

“We know that the longing will be immense. But she will please heaven with her smile now.

“Thank you to everyone who prayed. May the Lord reward every prayer of love and all these days together.

“She served her purpose and left her legacy of love in us.”

Gleycy was a social media star with more than 52,000 followers on Instagram.

After she went into a coma, her page was taken over by relatives who used it to post prayers.

She often spoke about her humble beginnings – growing up in poverty in Brazil.

The model got her first job when she was just 8 years old, taking on a role as a manicurist at a beauty salon.

“We will never know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I really wasn’t born in a golden cradle, I come from a very humble family, but I’m so proud of it, really proud.”

Family Priestess Lidiane Alves Oliveira said: “Her tonsils were operated on and after five days at home she had a bleeding.

“She went to Unimed and went into cardiac arrest on April 4th and has been in a coma with no neurological activity since.

“She died.”
