Glazers have offered financial backing to STAY at Man Utd from US billionaire hedge fund firm Elliott Management

The Glazer family was reportedly offered financial backing for STAY at Manchester United by hedge fund firm Elliott Management.
The current owners want to sell the club and are reportedly asking for £6bn to hand over the Red Devils.

However, there is a chance the Glazers will remain at Old Trafford after being offered support from Elliott management.
They entered the takeover race and have shown the current owners a way to stay.
ESPN reports that the US billionaire group does not want to buy Man Utd outright and their proposal is ‘possible financing, not an offer for the club’.
They would instead seek to fund United, meaning they could help pay off debt or acquire fractional ownership, or possibly both.
This would help the Glazers stay at Old Trafford as the cash injection from Elliott Management could also help them refurbish Old Trafford.
The New York-based company is said to be worth around £46 billion and was founded by Paul Singer.
The company has experience in financing football clubs, having pumped funds into AC Milan prior to its sale in 2022.
Man Utd legend Gary Neville fears the Glazers will remain significant shareholders and Elliott Management is offering them exactly that opportunity.

However, if Joel and Avram Glazer want to withdraw from the club entirely, then they have two bidders.
One of Britain’s richest men, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and Qatar Islamic Bank chairman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani have both submitted bids.
Ratcliffe, who also owns French club Nice, is a childhood Man Utd fan and made his money from chemical company INEOS.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Jassim has promised to get rid of debt but would have to prove he is not linked to Paris Saint-Germain’s Qatari owners, otherwise the teams may not be able to play in the same European competitions.
Any deal that goes through will be overseen by US bank Raine, which took control of Chelsea’s £2.5billion sale to Todd Boehly last May.
