Undefeated star Davis first signed with Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s promotion team in 2015.
But he now seems ready to head for new pastures after confirming he will be saying goodbye after the Romero rumble.
Davis told the Last Stand Podcast, “Yes sir [I’m leaving].
“It’s about just becoming that man, dealing with your own responsibilities and your own priorities.
“So I feel like it’s my career, so I feel like I have to be the one who controls my career. And it is time.”

Davis has become a superstar in recent years since securing his first world title in 2017.
He’s now a three-weight world champion and boasts a proud pro record of 26-0.
If Davis can pass a tough Romero test this weekend, he could be on a collision course with Devin Haney.
Haney fights George Kambosos Jr for the undisputed lightweight championship on June 4th.
And with Tank Mayweather leaving, Davis reckons the fight could go ahead as Haney was “talking crazy.”
Davis continued: “[Haney] talks crazy Like, come on. If you win, I’m out of my contract now; Let’s make the fight ’cause you wanna talk crazy
“Let’s do this; I want to fight you if you win, Devin Haney.”
Davis thrives on his celebrity lifestyle and loves all things bling-bling.
But he needs to market himself away from Mayweather as he has sold a staggering £1.2billion in pay-per-view sales during his unbeaten career.
While Jake slammed Paul Davis as a “f***ing b****” for deleting a tweet about a $2 million bet for his fight with Romero.
