George Tickner dead at 76: Journey guitarist and co-writer of iconic songs that rock fans mourn

Journey’s ORIGINAL guitarist and co-founder George Tickner has died at the age of 76.

Neal Schon, another co-founder of the legendary band behind the song Don’t Stop Believin’, confirmed the news on Facebook Thursday morning.

“Journey junkies, I have very sad news,” Schon wrote in a post.

“George Tickner, the original rhythm guitarist and songwriter for Journey’s first three albums, has passed away.”

“He was 76 years old,” added the co-founder.
