Gennady Golovkin, 39, shows off a toned physique as the trainer says Canelo was “waiting for him to grow old” before agreeing to the trilogy

GENNADY GOLOVKIN proved he’s still fit – as Canelo Alvarez was accused of dragging out her trilogy.
The boxing rivals are in talks to renew their rivalry in September but have interim bouts in the meantime.

Canelo, 31, returns against WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, 31, in Las Vegas on May 7.
Meanwhile, Golovkin, 39, faces Ryota Murata, 36, a month earlier in Japan, where he will combine his IBF title with the WBA version.
GGG has been training in Florida for his comeback fight and has shown his remarkable form as he nears his 40th birthday next month.
The Kazakh was labeled unlucky in 2017 when he only got away with a draw against Canelo.
And in the rematch a year later, Golovkin was narrowly defeated by majority decision.
Canelo then rose in weight to become a four division champion while GGG remained at middleweight with no upcoming trilogy.
However, the pair are believed to have agreed on a third fight that was almost five years in the making.
It drew criticism from boxing trainer Joel Diaz, who claimed Canelo had been waiting for Golovkin to age in the four years since their rematch.

Diaz told Fight Hub TV: “We’ve already seen the first and the second.
“If you’re personally asking me what I’m thinking and you want to hear it unfiltered, for what? That’s four years ago.
“You’ve been waiting for him to grow old.
