HANNIBAL Rising star Gaspard Ulliel has died after sustaining a severe head injury in a horror skiing accident in the Alps.
The 37-year-old model and actress was taken to hospital in serious condition following an incident at the Rosiere ski resort in the Savoie region on Tuesday.
According to local broadcaster France Bleu, Ulliel, known for appearing in Chanel perfume advertisements as well as film and television roles, suffered a severe head injury.
According to reports, the actor collided with another skier at a ramp crossing, and the skier was not taken to the hospital.
The Savoie prosecutor’s office said an investigation was underway into the tragic accident.
Ulliel played young Hannibal Lecter in the 2007 film Hannibal Rising and fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent in the 2014 biopic Saint Laurent.
He’s also starring in the upcoming Marvel series Moon Knight and he’s the face of the Chanel men’s fragrance Bleu de Chanel.
It comes after a five-year-old girl was killed on Saturday when a skier rammed her.
The man has been charged with manslaughter, according to prosecutor Haute-Savoie, who said excessive speed was a likely cause of the crash.
