Gary Neville blasts Man City over bizarre tactics during Tottenham loss while Pep Guardiola suffers huge title loss

GARY NEVILLE stunned by Manchester City’s tactics in a costly 1-0 defeat at Tottenham.
Pep Guardiola’s failed champ remains five points behind leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand.

And Manchester United legend Neville was amazed at the bad service for goal machine Erling Haaland.
The Summer Buy star had netted 25 times in 19 Premier League games – but in his 20th game on Sunday he didn’t have a single shot for the first time.
Passer boss Kevin de Bruyne stayed on the bench until the 59th minute.
And although City were trailing after Harry Kane’s historic goal after the quarter-hour, Guardiola’s men failed to break through even after Cristian Romero’s late red card.
Neville told Sky Sports: “Haaland is doing the runs. He’s ready to go, they (City players) just don’t play them.
“The number of runs he makes that are ignored is incredible.”
Other experts Graeme Souness and Micah Richards agreed.
Former Liverpool hardman Souness said: “Haaland and De Bruyne are the most successful partnership in the Premier League.”

And ex-City defender Richards said: “To be fair to Haaland he’s making SO many runs and nobody sees him.”
Guardiola tried out a new look, with Julian Alvarez partnering Haaland.
Behind them, midfielders Rodri and Bernardo Silva were flanked by Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish.
But City struggled against Spurs’ stubborn defense and quick counterattacks.
And Kane’s drilled winner took him to a Tottenham record 267 goals and passed tall fellow Englishman Jimmy Greaves.
