GARETH BALE’s MLS struggles have continued with team LAFC doing better WITHOUT the Welsh captain on the field.
The ex-Tottenham and Real Madrid ace had another moment to forget on Tuesday after being substituted in the 62nd minute while trailing behind Minnesota.
And just two minutes after Bale was sent off for having little impact on the game, LAFC captain Carlos Vela scored an equalizer and the game ended 1-1.
Vela’s exploits in the second half followed MLS reporter Matthew Doyle revealed that LAFC performed better WITHOUT Bale on the field.
Doyle highlighted that LAFC has a negative seven-goal difference with the five-time Champions League winners on the pitch in the 375 minutes he has played.
But if Bale is either substituted or absent, LAFC is 2800 minutes plus 33 in the goal department.
The 33-year-old joined LAFC in the summer after his contract with Real expired after a season of back-to-back La Liga and Champions League wins.
Bale started the MLS season strong, scoring two goals in his first four appearances.
However, things went downhill from there as Bale has fired blanks in his last six league games.
Commercially, Bale’s move to MLS has been good for LAFC.

Bale has sold the most shirts, edging out fellow former Premier League stars Carlos Vela and Chicharito.
And luckily for LAFC, Bale’s poor form hasn’t eased their tight grip on first place in the Western Conference.
LAFC leads second place in Austin, which is co-owned by TEN POINTS and owned by Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey.
The leaders still have three games to play.
They face Houston Dynamo on Monday, September 19, followed by a trip to Portland in early October.
LAFC then ends its campaign against Nashville.
