Gareth Bale’s golf project reaches new heights as fans say Real Madrid legend has ‘finally achieved his dream’

GARETH BALE’s love affair with gold has taken a new turn after he became a playable pro in a golf game.
The Real Madrid and Wales legend has a well-known penchant for golf, having been frequently seen playing golf during the latter stages of his time in Madrid.
After the World Cup, Bale announced his retirement from football, which gave him even more time to hit the golf course.
But now Bale could be on the golf course whenever someone loads the video game PGA Tour 2K23.
This comes after the 34-year-old was scanned into the game to become a playable pro.
The reveal video from the game’s social media pages features a voiceover from Bale while footage of his face being scanned plays in the background.
Many sports video games, including FIFA, now EA Sports FC, and Basketball’s NBA 2K23, use state-of-the-art game engines to make their games look as realistic as possible.
PGA Tour play is no different.
However, Bale himself is not the only one getting to know the game.
The game developers even created Bale’s very own custom dream golf course.

Players can also test their skills in the aptly named “Eleven’s Club” to earn in-game rewards.
Reacting to the reveal, one fan said: “This is so cool 🤩.”
A second replied: “Not the crossover I was expecting but I’ll definitely play it.”
“Bro finally made his dream come true,” remarked a third.
A fourth wrote: “Looks like I need to play golf 👀.”
Another declared: “This man is a legend.”
While a sixth typed: “He followed his passion❤️.”
Bale was also recently in action on a real golf course.
The former Spurs star teamed up with Rory McIlroy for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am event in Wentworth, Surrey.

Bale received a handicap of 0.5 for the event.
He will also appear alongside tennis ace Novak Djokovic in the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star Match later this month.
