Gabby Petito’s mother makes heartbreaking tribute to 9/11 while mourning the second anniversary of a vlogger’s missing news on the same day

Gabby Petito’s mother posted a tribute to 9/11 to mark her daughter’s two-year-old disappearance.
Petito, 22, was on a road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie when she was reported missing in 2021.
The vlogger went missing after she last contacted her family when she told them they were traveling from Utah to Wyoming.
Petito’s remains were recovered in Wyoming after nearly a month of searching. Her autopsy revealed that she was murdered by strangulation.
Laundrie was soon investigated by police for murder after returning home without Petito.
He went missing shortly afterwards and his skeletal remains were discovered a month later.

Among his remains was a letter in which he confessed to Petito’s murder.
Now, two years later, Nichole Schmidt, Petito’s mother, honored her memory and 9/11 together.
The Post said: “9/11 is a day we will never forget. Please #be kind to each other today, #strongertogether.”
“For me, it is also the day that I walked into a police station two years ago and was finally able to report our daughter missing.”
“Please share #Missing posters. #TogetherWeCan.”
Schmidt used the post to spread kindness in honor of her daughter. The image shared with her caption urged people to “share random acts of kindness” and “stop and take a moment to breathe and be grateful.”
The comments were full of support for the grieving mother.
“We are all with you in spirit. Gabby’s light remains.” one commented.
