Fury as disgraced DJ Tim Westwood is kicking off his comeback with a New Year’s Eve party at a London club, despite allegations of child sex

A LONDON club has sparked fury after booking the disgraced Tim Westwood for its New Year’s Eve party despite being accused of having sex with a child.
The disgraced former BBC star has launched a comeback after he was accused by 10 women, including a then 14-year-old, of abusing his position in the music industry.

Westwood, 64, has vehemently denied the allegations and none of his accusers are believed to have reported his allegations to police.
However, in August, the BBC issued a report confirming that it should have investigated further the issues raised about the DJ during his 20-year career.
Now The Sun can reveal Westwood is back playing gigs – including one in the UK – over the Christmas period to restart his career.
He will first break cover tonight to play at a celebratory party for The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos alongside fellow British rapper Tion Wayne.
He will then return to England for his first gig in the UK in months on New Year’s Eve.
The humiliated DJ will take to the stage for a headlining gig at The Hatch Club in New Cross, London.
The club are slamming £10 tickets – and offering a free glass of Prosecco to get players in the door.
The shameless Westwood took to Instagram to brazenly promote his homecoming comeback gig.
He wrote: “New Years Eve – GETTIN LITTY. The brightest event on New Year’s Eve!”
Former fans are now furious that the disgraced star has been booked by the club to play despite the many allegations leveled against him.
One wrote: “Why does Tim Westwood have a New Years theme?”
Another added: “Anyone in their right mind would book Tim Westwood to perform after all that has come out.”
A third said: “Everyone should boycott anywhere Tim Westwood is playing.”
In April, the DJ was accused of attempting to exploit seven women by “flashing and groping” them.
They told the BBC and the Guardian about the alleged abuse between 1992 and 2017.
Westwood resigned from his show at Capital Xtra in the wake of the allegations.
In June, a woman named Esther claimed Westwood – then in her 30s – had had sex with her a number of times since she was 14.
Her allegations were featured in the BBC News documentary Hip Hop’s Open Secret: Tim Westwood.
The show also included testimonies from two other women, all under 18, when they were allegedly attacked by the DJ.
One, Lydia, said she attempted suicide after being trapped in a controlling relationship.
Westwood is the son of former Anglican Bishop of Peterborough Bill Westwood.
He rose to fame when he hosted the first nationally broadcast rap show on British radio in 1994.
Westwood has won a number of MOBO awards and hosted the UK version of Pimp My Ride.
In 1999 he was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting.
A statement from Westwood’s rep previously said: “In his 40-year career there have never been any official or unofficial complaints against him.

“Tim Westwood firmly denies all allegations of misconduct.”
The Hatch Club, New Cross declined to comment when approached by The Sun.
