However, he now has concerns for his safety after his room at the Perth Crown Hotel and personal belongings were captured in a creepy video.
The Indian cricket team stayed at the hotel for Sunday night’s clash with South Africa.
It shows a close-up of Kohli’s personal belongings lying on a table next to his made hotel bed.
A room tour followed before taking a closer look at his toiletries, medications and supplements.
Two to three people can be seen in the video, all wearing black shoes, well-ironed gray suits and white formal shirts similar to those worn by staff at the Perth Crown hotel.
Kohli said the disturbing footage made him “very paranoid” and called for respect for his privacy.
He said on Instagram: “I understand the fans are very happy and excited to see their favorite players and excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that.
“But this video is horrific and it has made me very paranoid about my privacy.

“If I can’t have privacy in my own hotel room, where can I even expect personal space?”
“I do NOT agree with this kind of bigotry and outright invasion of privacy.
“Please respect people’s privacy and don’t treat them as entertainment commodities.”
Crown Perth told Daily Mail Australia a cleaning company was responsible for the invasive video.
The hotel has since apologized to superstar Kohli.
A spokesman said: “We apologize unreservedly to the guest affected and will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure this remains an isolated case.”
The hotel also says the incident happened earlier this month when the Indian team was staying overnight before the start of the T20 World Cup.
And those responsible no longer have access to the hotel.
The hotel is continuing an investigation and is working with the Indian Cricket Team and the International Cricket Council.
