Maybe they thought he was a top marksman.

But the plan backfired when Clermont tucked his second penalty of the game – as they came from behind (of course) to beat Angers 2-1.

The defeat left the guests behind BOTTOM and certainly doomed to relegation as they are 17 points behind with six games to go.

But things looked better when Adrien Hunou put Angers ahead after 28 minutes.

However, Grejohn Kyei soon equalized with a penalty.

And when Clermont were awarded another penalty in the 39th minute, they chose Muhammed Cham.

At this point, the Angers supporters decided to break up with them to save the fighters.

Their heroes may lack creativity on the pitch, but in the words of a Twitter user who reacted to the pic with the rear end: “Angers supporters don’t lack the imagination to destabilize the opposing team.”

Unfortunately for those fans, however, Austria midfielder Cham was focused on putting the kick home.

Credit to him, he then turned the other cheek instead of mocking Angers supporters.

Amazingly, back in the middle, Clermont finished his win with just nine men.

Brazil left-back Neto Borges grabbed a straight red in first-half injury time.

And in the 96th minute, Ghana centre-back Alidu Seidu was sent off for his second yellow card.

Luckily for ailing Angers fans, their painful season is nearing its tail end – albeit with an even more traumatic decline than the one they produced on Sunday.
