Fulham are in Ben Brereton Diaz’s transfer race but face competition from FOUR Premier League rivals for the Blackburn star

FULHAM have entered the race to sign Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton Diaz.
Blackburn turned down an opening £8.4million offer from French club Nice last night as they are ready for a much higher initial fee.

With just one year left on his contract, Diaz, 23, has attracted a great deal of interest in Europe, with a host of Spanish clubs also following his progress.
Fulham are one of several Prem clubs interested in the former Nottingham Forest man.
Everton, Bournemouth and Leeds United have all expressed interest, while West Ham are longtime admirers.
Cottagers boss Marco Silva needs further investment after Manor Solomon were sidelined until after the World Cup in the summer following a knee injury and surgery.
Should the Chile international not leave this month due to his contract situation, he can negotiate with clubs abroad from January and leave for free at the end of the season.
However, Rovers must sell before the summer window closes.
The Championship Club has the lowest transfer budget in the division.
The Chiefs at Ewood Park could be tempted by an initial offer of £12m-15m before add-ons.

Two goals in Diaz’s three games so far could have helped her cause to demand a higher fee.
Fulham are also close to agreeing a deal to sign Justin Kluivert, son of Dutch legend Patrick, from Roma.
The west Londoners have already made seven signings since rising from the Championship, having added Solomon, Joao Palhinha, Issa Diop, Andreas Pereira, Kevin Mbabu, Bernd Leno and Shane Duffy.
