FRENCH and Saunders are making an epic comeback on The Repair Shop next week – and it’s not something you want to miss.
During this year’s Comic Relief, the Repair Shop’s Dreams workshop welcomes some very special guests into the warehouse.
No job is too small or too big for the team of craftsmen, who rarely find themselves sending clients away – so far.
However, things quickly turned chaotic when the TV star couple who wanted to meet was none other than Jay Blades he himself.
But when Jay realized that they were more than willing to fix his beloved belongings, he sent them off to pack.
During this time Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch embark on repairs for another very special guest, proving just how talented and ingenious they are.
Before the show, Dawn said, “I don’t think we’ve ever said no to Comic Relief because it’s so important, and because it’s from our community, and we’ve been there from the beginning.
“I know that the money has been properly spent and I know that there are ongoing projects that need us to work on and I would never want to let anyone down.”
Echoing her comment, Jennifer said, “When I watch The Repair Shop, I think all I can see is these characters going into The Repair Shop, or me and Dawn, pretending to fix something. that or imitate the character.
“You know, I just thought, this is the show for us. Then Comic Relief said we had The Repair Shop and it was like the perfect thing. It was so perfect.”
The skit will be broadcast on Red Nose Day at 7pm on Friday 18 March from 7pm on BBC One.
