The White House has launched its website – COVIDtest.gov.
Wednesday was expected to be the official launch date but White House leaders said it began operations with limited capacity on Tuesday.
However, KDKA is aware of at least two local cases where people said they received notifications that tests were ordered.
The notice read: “Our records show that at-home COVID-19 tests were ordered for this address. We cannot process duplicate orders for the same address. ”

Supplies will be limited to four checks per household and they will be delivered within 7-12 days of ordering.
The first shipments are expected to ship at the end of January.
For those who may need more testing, the site says those with private health insurance will be reimbursed for the full cost of testing, up to eight times per month.
