MURRYSVILLE (KDKA) – “What… pretty cool?”
Certainly, one way to say it and certainly an acceptable answer to a moment of recognition for a local champion wrestler.
In the Jeopardy contest! The National Collegiate Championships, which aired Wednesday night, Franklin area alumnus and champion wrestler Spencer Lee were used as a clue on the popular game show.
“Leaded by 125-pounder Spencer Lee, in 2021, the Iowa Hawkeyes won their 24th NCAA title in this inversion & fall sport,” the clue reads.
The answer, apparently, is “what is wrestling?”
The category in which the clue is placed is “Collegiate Sports Dynasties” of which Lee is certain to have become a part of him.
Lee was named co-winner of the 2021 Dan Hodge Trophy, awarded to the best college wrestler in the country and, clues tell us, a three-time NCAA wrestling champion.
