Four British prisoners of war are tortured by Russia in order to receive the Order of Bravery from Ukrainian President Zelenskyy

FOUR British volunteers captured and tortured by Russia are to receive medals for bravery from Ukraine.
Aiden Aslin, Shaun Pinner, John Harding and Andrew Hill were decorated with the Order of Courage Third Class by President Zelensky.

He said they showed “personal courage and selfless action in defending Ukraine’s state sovereignty.”
Ex-soldier Shaun, 49, from North London, said: “It means a lot to be recognised.
“None of us went there for medals, but it means a lot to be recognized.
“It’s really about remembering the fallen, the guys who didn’t come back.”
He and former carer Aiden, 28, of Newark, Notts, had been sentenced to death in a show trial.
Ex-paratrooper John Harding, 59, from Sunderland, said: “We will carry the medals for the boys who didn’t make it.”
Former British soldier Andrew Hill, 36, from Plymouth, Devon, said: “It’s really overwhelming.”
