Kane was sentenced to between 10 and 23 months in prison, while serving his sentence at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in suburban Philadelphia. She was released in 2019.
On Saturday, Scranton police were called to the scene of the two-car crash and said they found Kane behind the wheel of an Audi. When asked if she had been drinking, Kane denied it, pointing at her passenger and saying, “It wasn’t me at all,” an affidavit read. She told officers she had just picked up her sister and was giving her a ride, police said.
Another driver told police Kane drove into his vehicle at an intersection, according to the affidavit. He said he smelled alcohol as soon as she opened the door. Kane sprayed perfume on himself before officers arrived and offered to pay to fix another driver’s car, the affidavit said. Instead, he called the police.
Police said Kane refused a blood test.
Kane is still on probation. An email was sent to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Office of Adult Probation regarding the new charges against her.
