Former NFL star Tiki Barber leaves the show set after an angry argument with Joe Benigno over the controversial takeover of the New York Jets

ZACH Wilson’s problems with the New York Jets have caused so much tension that local radio hosts have started attacking each other.
Former New York Giants icon Tiki Barber stormed off the WFAN set on Monday after former host Joe Benigno accused the running back of hating the Jets.
Barber recently replaced longtime radio and television personality Craig Carton as host of the WFAN series “Evan and Tiki.”
The duo brought in Benigno to discuss the state of the Jets and things escalated pretty quickly.
Barber defended Wilson and suggested the Jets shouldn’t be so quick to give up on the player they selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Benigno stated that Barber was unable to properly analyze the situation since he played for the rival Giants during his NFL career.

Since Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1, Wilson has struggled for the Jets, throwing for just 467 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
“Tiki, let me tell you right now. You hate the Jets. “You would like to see the Jets go 2-15,” Benigno said.
“Stop it. You’re a giant. If this were a Giants situation, you’d be screaming to get Wilson out of there.
“So don’t tell me that nonsense.”

Barber said he never yells because he watches and analyzes the games.
“Okay, you can analyze all you want, but yesterday you were in Washington with the Commanders and the Bills, right?” Benigno responded, referring to Barber’s duties at CBS Sports.
“So don’t give me that nonsense about analyzing Zach Wilson.
“I don’t want to hear it. This is nonsense! He stinks!”
Barber was unimpressed with Benigno’s attack strategy and took out his headphones and turned off his microphone.
Before he left, he was heard saying: “This is bullshit” before leaving the set.
Benigno then clarified that he wasn’t “upset about Tiki,” but rather about “the whole damn situation” with the Jets.
“I apologize to Tiki, but I am upset with this franchise. I don’t want to take it out on him,” he said.
“But I’ve had enough. How much longer do we have to watch this guy?”
Barber returned for the next segment and later joked about the fight with Benigno.
Jets legend Joe Namath also called for Wilson to be replaced after his mediocre performances this season.
“I wouldn’t keep him. I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson,” Namath said.
