Former NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire has been arrested after an alleged altercation with his daughter.
Stoudemire was arrested just after 1 a.m. Sunday and sent to the Miami-Dade County Jail, police said.

According to an NBC News affidavit, he faces a misdemeanor battery charge after allegedly hitting and hitting his daughter.
The affidavit states that Stoudemire entered his daughter’s room and “asked her why she was showing attitude”.
His daughter, who is not named, reportedly responded that she was not taking a stance.
Stoudemire then reportedly said, “You’re talking back again,” and began hitting the girl on the jaw, hitting her face and body, and giving her a bloody nose, according to the documents.
