Marca declared 30 years old is now the fifth person highest paid star in the game on a salary of around £400,000 a week – but he is ready to take a substantial pay cut to move to the Nou Camp.

However, club president Joan Laporta is openly optimistic about more additions to the club this month.

“Everybody should be ready, because we’re back as big players in the market,” he said.

Now it looks like a move for Oscar could be on the cards.
