DETROIT (AP) – Ford is recalling about 200,000 vehicles in the United States to fix an issue that could cause the brake lights to not turn off.

High temperature and humidity can cause the rubber part of the brake pedal to disintegrate, dim the lights, confuse other drivers and increase the risk of an accident.
Drivers with an automatic transmission can also shift into “park” gear without applying the brakes.
