The Dense Fog Notice remains in effect for all of Southwest Florida, excluding Desoto County, as of Friday morning. Look for a quarter mile or less visibility for your morning commute.
The fog will start to drift around around sunrise, leaving us with overcast to almost cloudy skies for the rest of the day.
There could be a few showers across the region as a cold front approaches from the north.
We currently have a Category 1 severe weather threat for eastern parts of Collier County and Hendry County, but much of Southwest Florida is now out of that extreme risk for today.
The opportunity for more bathing continues on Saturday to kick off the weekend.
By Sunday, we’ll be drier and cooler, with peaks just hitting 60s highs.
By Monday morning, the lowest temperatures will return to the 40s as cold air settles back.
