Foden, Mane, De Bruyne, Auba and Lukaku Injury Updates for FPL Gameweek 12

Kevin De Bruyne will miss the clash with Everton, after testing positive for Covid-19. FPL managers will also be concerned about the state of Jack Grealish (typing) and Phil Foden (knock), with Pep Guardiola refusing to commit.

“Jack [Grealish] getting better and better after getting on the national team. Phil Foden is back with a concussion, a problem with his leg but is getting better. Jack, I don’t think so. Phil, we’ll see. ”

Aymeric Laporte is back after a hiatus but Ferran Torres (foot) remains injured for the rest of 2021.


Romelu Lukaku (ankle) and Timo Werner (thigh) will not start against Leicester City, although the latter could feature in the matchday squad. Thomas Tuchel also confirmed that Mateo Kovacic (hamstring) will miss more matches.

“Romelu [Lukaku] is very close to team practice, so hopefully he will join the team on Sunday. Timo [Werner] I’m in team training since yesterday, so let’s take a look. We have another round of training, then we will decide if it makes sense for him to be in the squad or on the bench. ”

Affected oral problems Mason Mountaingame time of recent weeks but he’s back and ready to start, it seems Marcos Alonso (ankle) and Thiago Silva (late for international duty).

“Mason [Mount] back in training, looking hungry and fresh and in good spirits, but we need an assessment. He’s done the training sessions, looks good, but we need to see if he can start, if he can play 90 minutes.”

On Friday, he gave another update on Andrew Robertsonof (hamstring) and Jordan Henderson (the hit).

As well as the French duo is not available Raphael Varane (hamstring) and Paul Pogba (thigh), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that there are some hits that can go both ways.

“Paul [Pogba] remain out for a while, Raphael [Varane] is out for a while still. Also, the players will be back in due course, some this weekend, some next week. ”

He is said to be referring to Luke Shaw (concussion), Scott McTominay (illness) and Edinson Cavani (ribbed), although Shaw and McTominay – along with Marcus Rashford, who withdrew from the England team for general fitness – trained.


Sead Kolasinac suffered a “serious ankle injury” while on international duty and will continue to be evaluated. Granite Xhaka (knee) is on target to return in January, although Mikel Arteta cannot commit to the availability of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Thomas Partey.

central defender Cristian Romero left Argentina’s 0-0 draw with Brazil due to a thigh injury, which will keep him out of action for the foreseeable future.

“We had a few problems after the international break. Romero is injured. I talked to the doctor and now it’s right to wait seven days, 10 days to have another scan and understand how long it will take him to recover” – Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte also affirmed that Giovani Lo Celso received a knock-out against Argentina and may not be available for the Leeds United game. Also a bit uncertain about Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (knee) who has trained the least, while Oliver Skipp suspended for accumulating five yellow cards.


Marcelo Bielsa confirms that Luke Ayling (knee), Patrick Bamford (ankle) and Robin Koch (pelvic) is still out.

Junior Firpo (suitable for fitness) and Jamie Shackleton (typing) will be evaluated.

Patrick Vieira has confirmed that Eberechi Eze will go to Burnley with the squad, after a six-month absence with an Achilles injury.

“Eze is doing very well. He played two games and 90 minutes [in an in-house friendly] and have trained with the group. He will be part of the group going to Burnley. Obviously he is a talented player but he still has a long way to go to reach his best. We need to remind ourselves that it will take time for him to get back to where he was before due to injury. He will get there.” – Patrick Vieira

Another Achilles victim, Nathan Ferguson, currently training in the team. Joachim Andersen will pass a knock to play but midfielder James McArthur (hamstring) will be on leave.


Dominic Calvert-Lewin (femoral), Abdoulaye Doucoure (Foot), Andre Gomes (calf) and Yerry Mina (hamstring) still injured, with Mason Holgate is about to begin a three-match ban following his red card against Spurs.

“All of them are making good progress but are not ready yet. Doucoure is an ankle injury, so it’s something with a time frame. I think a week at most, two weeks. Dominic, at least two or three weeks. ” – Rafael Benitez

Tom Davies (knee) is a new addition to the injury list.


Regarding the main injury update Marcal (calf) who has returned to training but who is confirmed by his manager to play a second game with Rayan Ait Nouri at left-back. Yerson Mosque (femoral), Pedro Neto (knee) and Jonny Castro (knee) remains a long-term absentee.

Bruno Lage hints that he won’t take any risks with Raul Jimenez, who returned from Mexico on duty Thursday afternoon. After his final international break, Jimenez was benched in Wolves’ win over Aston Villa.

“We don’t have too many players so I can’t put anyone at risk in a game. Raul came yesterday afternoon to give him time to rest and recuperate. He trained today so now we will make the best decision for tomorrow. ” – Bruno Lage on Raul Jimenez


Knee injury caused by Angelo Ogbonna in Gameweek 11 with Liverpool might end his season but Declan Rice (illness) and Pablo Fornals (typing) will be fine for the trip to Wolves based on their manager’s comment about the internationals returning unscathed.

“We think Angelo’s surgery will take place in the next few days and are really sad because he is a great player for the team. His performances are amazing.” – David Moyes


Eddie Howe takes on the Magpies for the first time on Saturday, facing Brentford at home. He confirmed that Paul Dummett (calf) is the only absentee but, despite playing for Slovakia last weekend, may not yet start for Martin Dubravka (suitable for fitness).

“Dubravka played midweek. Is he a 100% fit? That remains to be seen, it was his first game in a long time. So I have a tough call to get there. The difficulty for international players is that some of them have been with us for a day, two days. We’re going to have to strike a balance between who’s been here all this time and who’s coming back. ” – Eddie Howe


Before his first game, Dean Smith confirmed that he has a perfectly matched squad, except Christoph Zimmermann (fish’s eyes). Fellow defenders Grant Hanley (groin) and Ozan Kabak (illness) is ready to return. Todd Cantwell has also been deemed fit for the match, during a long-term absence Sam Byram will play for under-23s on Friday night.
