In childhood and in adolescence, Book struggles with anorexia, insomnia and fussiness.

In 2002, the nanny committed five felonies and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, then extended to 25 years.

Years after her experience, Book has been helping child victims of sexual abuse through her nonprofit, Lauren’s Kids. While also fighting for stronger punishments for sex offenders.

Now, Book has fallen victim to someone who tries to blackmail her by threatening to reveal stolen nude photos of her.

“I hate this has happened to me,” says Book Related press in Monday.

“I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. But I’ll take it, because I know I can do something with it. ”

During her investigation, she learned that these images had been purchased and traded online since 2020.

Book is fighting back by stoking her power as a legislator, seeking a new law to try to prevent others from falling victim.

The Book-funded bill will strengthen FloridaPornography law retaliates by making it a felony to steal pornographic images from someone’s phone or other digital device.

It would also make the sharing or creation of sexually explicit images, known as deepfakes, a felony.

Books have called the international trade in stolen images from the people a sick, perverted culture that pays more for pictures of celebrities and elected officials, but also victims of unpopular women.

‘I HAVE ENDED MY LIFE’

“Truth be told, if it weren’t for my children, I would have taken my own life,” an emotional Book told the AP.

“It gives everything. All the things you thought you had belted, you fixed it, and you changed it, and then suddenly, it was right in front of you. “

However, the conversations people had on the site made the horror worse.

“They’re reading about who I am and talking about me being a rape survivor, so let’s try to download some videos of rape.

“Can we get some of her raped, killed, tortured? Can we make some of them? Can we find it? How do we get it?” The book said.

The senator said she has pictures of herself and her husband on her phone, as well as a shared photo of her tumor removal scar after surgery.

Book doesn’t know how they were stolen, but investigators told her that the images the teen used to blackmail her were sent from virtual private networks in Sweden and Russia.

“There are still things up there. However, they will never go away. People buy it, people trade it, and this is not unique.

“This is happening every day, mostly among women,” she said.
