Five teenagers kidnap teenager, beat him up for money in East Naples

Collier County deputies arrested five teenagers who they say kidnapped a 16-year-old for over $160.

Arrested were two adults: Luigi Roca and Anthony Zangrilli, both 18, and three minors: Carlos Rodriguez, 16, and twin brothers Yankiel and Yoni Borden, 15.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was walking near his residence in East Naples when a red four-door vehicle approached him.

The victim said Roca, Rodriguez and Bordens got out of the car and pulled him into the car and put a pillowcase over his head.

The teenager is taken to an apartment where he meets Zangrilli.

The suspects hit the victim and said he owed them money and used his cell phone to try to get money from his family. The report shows that the teens texted the victim’s mother to ask for money and she denied his request without knowing about the situation.

The victim said Roca, Zangrilli and Yankiel Borden pointed guns and lasers at the apartment. Zangrilli pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him, deputies said.

The victim was given a green shirt or cloth to wipe the blood from his face from the beating.

Upon seeing that the victim was not paying, the suspects drove him back to the intersection where they kidnapped him and threatened they would kill his family if he called law enforcement.

Deputies arrested Roca and Rodriguez during a car stop. The deputies also arrested the Borden brothers. A court-ordered review of the ankle monitor by Yoni Borden revealed he was in the abduction victim’s area and at the apartment where he was taken.

At the apartment, detectives found a bloody green shirt, a bloody pillowcase and a .380 magazine and a 40-round magazine for a Glock 27.

Zangrelli was also arrested.

Other charges are pending as detectives said they are looking into suspects in connection with other crimes.
