Five key clues to missing 16-year-old Kiely Rodni’s disappearance, from bumper stickers to eerie messages on sweaters

THE mysterious case of a missing 16-year-old girl has stumped investigators after several chilling clues surfaced – including an eerie sweater slogan that appeared to foreshadow her disappearance.

Kiely Rodni was last seen around 12:30 a.m. on August 6 at a large “senior citizen farewell party” near the Prosser family’s campground in Truckee, California – and has not been heard from since.

Cops say Kiely attended the large gathering along with over 100 other teenagers and young adults.

Her mum Lindsey was waiting for her to come home that night when Kiely texted her at 11.30pm to say she would be “coming straight home” in 45 minutes.

However, she never returned home, prompting police to seek answers as to exactly what happened to Kiely after midnight and where she may be now.

David Robertson, 70, Kiely’s beloved grandfather, said the situation was like a “bad dream”.

Although Kiely’s case may seem like a missing person’s case, the police are treating it as a kidnapping based on a key fact.

That evening, Kiely was driving her silver 2013 Honda CRV with California license plate 8YUR127.

However, the police could not find her car, so they are treating Kiely’s disappearance as a kidnapping case.

Likewise, Lindsey’s best friend, Marika Beck, 42, fears Kiely may have been kidnapped.

She said: “We are really concerned that she has been taken out of state, may be trafficked and is going to the borders.

“So if we can actively lock down the borders and patrol for every damn car that goes through there, there’s a very good chance she’s still in the car because they haven’t found it.”

SWEATSHIRT ANNOUNCEMENT

Officials believed Kiely may have been wearing a friend’s sweatshirt at the time of her disappearance.

They claim that she may have worn this sweatshirt later that night when the temperature dropped in the forest.

The message on this sweatshirt read: “You don’t want to be forgotten. You just want to disappear.”

The quote is from a poem titled “Past the Bushes Cypress Thriving” by Lana Del Rey.

UNIQUE STICKER

Police also revealed that Kiely’s car has a small ram’s head sticker on the rear window under her rear wiper.

This hint could lead to more tips from people who can better identify the car when seen on the road.

A flyer was shared on Reddit showing several photos of Kiely along with her car and the sticker.

The user who posted it said he plans to share the post with a wider audience after chatting with someone about the missing teenager.

A KielyRodni subreddit was also created, where 2,500 members are now sharing their latest information on the case.

‘WILD PARTY

Witnesses came out and said the party Kiley attended was full of dodgy older guys and there was a lot of drugs around.

Kiely’s boyfriend, 18, Sami Smith exclusively told The US Sun: “Now we know there were a lot of college guys.

“Teenagers come out [with information] in our teen-to-teen talks. There were a lot of shady older guys that were seen there.”

She had also previously said, “I think a lot of them were scared to talk, they were involved in illegal activities in the forest, it’s like this Lord of the Flies room where they can just be.”

One tipster, Ronnie Jones, told popular YouTuber iCkEdMe in a new video that his two college-age cousins were at the party.

He said, “And it wasn’t just a teen party, there were a lot of adults there, in their mid-20s, guys who were way older than 16.”

Speaking about his cousins, Jones said, “And they had some other friends who went with them, but they were about 27/28 years old, they’re older, there were a lot of older guys there.”

Jones added, “And they said at the party a lot of people were doing shrooms, cocaine, drinking and all that.”

WRONG LEADERSHIP

A recent tip suggested that “there is a potential burial site near the [Prosser Family] campground,” said Angela Musallam, public affairs officer for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Kiely’s family had been informed of the tip and a search and rescue team located the spot.

However, the tip led to another frustrating impasse, as the “burial ground” was for a dog.

“The FBI agents have been investigating the place […] this morning and recovered the remains of a dog,” Officer Musallam said.
