Five chilling clues into the disappearance of mother-of-two Nicola Bulley as the search continues into day five

The mortgage adviser had taken her daughters, nine and six, to school before walking brown spaniel Willow and joining them on a work visit.
But her phone was later discovered on a bench still connected to the meeting, next to her dog’s harness and leash – the mutt was found roaming free nearby
As the frantic search for the mother-of-two enters its fifth day on Wednesday, The Sun Online delves into five chilling things we know so far.
TELEPHONE CONFERENCE
Nicola’s employer, Exclusively Mortgages, said she checked in at the 9.01am team meeting.
Company boss Ben Pociecha told The Telegraph: “It seems like she was on mute and didn’t have her camera on.
“She listened while she was walking her dog. Many people participated in the call.”
Her phone was discovered by police around 10.30am – more than an hour after she was believed to have disappeared.
‘SPOOKY’ AREA
In November last year, Nicola, also known as Nikki, described the area near her disappearance as “a little spooky”.
After a “very misty, cold” walk with Willow, Nicola posted several photos of the gray landscape to Facebook from nearby Inskip.
Her partner, 12, Paul Ansell revealed the couple usually took turns walking the dog on a towpath alongside the River Wyre.
DOG UP TO DATE
Paul said he received a terrifying phone call on the morning of his partner’s disappearance.
The 44-year-old engineer said, “I called the police after receiving a call from the school about someone finding Willow and Nikki’s phone and the dog leash and harness on the bench.”
The dog – without a leash or harness – was spotted en route to Wyreside Farm Caravan Park.
NO THIRD PARTY INVOLVEMENT
Supt Sally Riley, of Lancashire Police, told a press conference there was “absolutely no” evidence Nicola was attacked.
“We believe Nicola may have disappeared and this is not a criminal investigation but we remain open,” she added.

Police said they are treating the mother-of-two’s disappearance as a missing person case instead.
The Mirror reported on Tuesday evening how police officers were combing a run-down building in search of the mother.
On Tuesday, police officers confirmed they spoke to a man who walked a small white fluffy dog and may have been a “key witness”.
‘COME HOME MOM’
Nicola’s family has been living in “eternal hell” since her disappearance, revealed broken friend Paul.
He had to tell children Harriet, nine, and Sophia, six, that “Mummy has gone missing,” revealed Nicola’s mum Dorothy.
Paul’s father David added how the youngsters “cried their eyes out” after the horrific news.
Meanwhile, Emma White, a friend of Nicola’s, asked the mum to come home as the youngsters “just want their mum”.
Described as white, 5ft 3in tall with light brown shoulder length hair, she was last seen wearing a long black hooded waistcoat.
She wore black jeans and olive green ankle boots and had her hair tied in a ponytail.

Nicola has an Essex accent and has ties to the Thornton Cleveleys area near Blackpool.
Anyone who has seen Nicola or has information as to where she may be staying is asked to call 101 and quote log 565 of January 30. For immediate sightings please call 999.
VILLAGE stunned
NICOLA Bulley disappeared from a spot on the banks of the River Wyre that was popular with dog walkers and anglers.
Just a five-minute walk from the center of the hamlet of St Michael on Wyre, it’s well-trodden path for locals – which makes their disappearance all the more baffling.
Shop assistant Jackie Wilson, 60, walks her dog along the trail most days and says she regularly bumped into Nicola or her partner Paul.
She said: “It’s a very popular spot for dog walkers. I knew Nikki to say hello. I would see either her or Paul. We said hello and talked about our dogs because they were alike. Her disappearance has shaken the community.”
Another dog walker, who asked not to be named, said she lived near the trail and heard any commotion or scream.
