Highway 505 was briefly closed but is now open again, the California Highway Patrol said.

However, the road could be closed again, authorities said.

Vacaville residents were ordered to evacuate around 2:55 p.m., including everyone north of Cantelow Road, south of Peaceful Glen Rd, east of English Hills Road and west of Timm Rd, the Solano County Office of Emergency Services said.

Evacuation is mandatory, meaning residents in the area are under imminent threat.

Several other wildfires have been burning in the Bay Area since Thursday afternoon.

The Phoenix and Canyon fires ordered evacuations and threatened homes near Port Costa and Sunol, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Benicia fire burns near the Valery refinery.
