Final month to claim two one-time payments ranging between $675 and $3,284 – exact steps to claim

As of this month, thousands of dollars worth of PAYMENTS are being paid out.
Residents in two states should look for discounts of up to $3,284.

Alaska and Montana sent payments on a rolling basis rather than on a specific day.
1. ALASKA – $3,284
Alaska residents will still receive their 2022 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD).
With this annual payment, residents receive a share of the state’s oil and gas revenue. The amount for this year is $3,284.
Most residents have already received their payments, but those classified as “eligible, unpaid” will receive their checks on September 14th.

Payments will continue to be sent on October 5th and 26th.
The entire payment is considered taxable income, except for $662, which is considered an energy relief check and is not taxable.
2. MONTANA – $675 to $1,350
Montana sends property tax refunds in the form of paper checks to curb fraud.
Gov. Greg Gianforte signed a $1 billion tax relief package that provided rebates for homeowners who paid taxes in 2022 and 2023.
There is a $675 payment each year, meaning taxpayers could claim up to $1,350 if they are eligible for both payments.
Residents can claim the cash if they:
- They owned and lived on a property in Montana and had it as their primary residence for at least seven months of each year
- Property taxes paid for this residence in the relevant tax year(s)
Checks will be sent out on a rolling basis throughout the month.
MORE MONEY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
One in seven Americans may owe money without knowing it.
This “unclaimed property” includes everything from uncashed checks to deposits and overpayments.
In South Carolina, state Treasurer Curtis Loftis said, “All kinds of money is showing up that people never knew about.”

He explained that a woman was owed $1 million that she had no idea about.
“It was the proverbial little old lady. The nicest person you ever met, but she thought we were all frauds,” he said.
“I sent the county treasurer to see her. I finally found the county House of Representatives member who happened to know her father. He was the guy who died and left her the money.”

Meanwhile, a settlement offers Americans $3,300 in “free money.”
